You can sign up and start at any time. Tuition the first month will be pro-rated based on the number of classes that month. The yearly registration fee & first month's tuition amount is due at the time of sign-up -- spots are not held without the proper fees paid. You can either call the gym (615-883-5166) or send an email (email@example.com) to get the most up-to-date information. *Please note...the gym is busiest from 3:15-7:15 each evening and because of this, it is sometimes difficult to give out class information/availability during this time; however, we will happily take your contact information and return your call or you can email us for a faster response!
What are the daily business hours for the gym?
Our daily business hours vary according to our class schedule; however, the facility opens at 3:15pm Monday-Friday and 9:30am Saturdays.
****IMPORTANT**** The gym has a phone number for when your child is in the gym. Please make a note of the number and procedure:
"Office Hours" are 11:00am - 3:00pm. The number for office hours is 615-883-5166 -- This number is for all business pertaining to class schedule, tuition or other questions, etc. -- This number is NOT for reaching your child at the gym while your child is in class (see below).
"Gym Hours" are 3:00pm - 8:30pm. the number for GYM HOURS is 615-883-5199 -- This number is to be used ONLY for when you need to reach the gym or YOUR child during their respective gym hours. It is not to be used for anything other than reaching your child (or anything pertaining to your child while they are currently in the gym). This number will not have a voice mail attached to it and is to ONLY be used to reach the gym while your child is there. Please do not use it at any other time. ALL other matters need to be directed to the OFFICE HOURS number (615-883-5166).
If you need assistance during the hours of 3:00pm - 8:30pm (that does not pertain to your child being in the gym at that time), please either:

When is tuition due & how many classes are being paid for each month?
Tuition prices are based on your method of payment and the date your payment is made. The complete price list can be found on the SCHEDULE page.
Students will not be allowed to participate in class if tuition is not paid by the 10th of the month.
Students who do not attend the first class of the month (and have not paid that respective month's tuition or made prior arrangements with the gym) will be considered 'dropped' from the class. Please be advised that if the required 30-day written notice has not been remitted, you will be billed for that respective month's tuition.
Tuition is due each month (even if a month contains a day which class is not being held) & is not pro-rated for planned closings. During the course of a year, the amount of class days even out to four (4) classes per month for a total of 48 paid classes.
Enrollment is not based on a month-to-month basis & does not guarantee a spot is automatically held for your child; tuition must be paid each month to ensure a spot is held. (If you choose to skip a month and not pay tuition, please understand you risk your child's spot in his/her class being filled). You will also be responsible for the month in question if the required notice was not given.
Any class which fails to reach at least 50% enrollment within the first thirty (30) days (of the class being held) will be canceled and students will be enrolled in the same type of class at a different class time or day (if applicable).

A $30 processing fee will be charged on all returned checks.

What is the class schedule & how does it operate?
The gym operates classes in 'sessions': SPRING (Jan-May), SUMMER (June & July) & FALL (Aug-Dec). Classes carry over from session-to-session; therefore, students are not required to sign-up for classes once they are enrolled. Classes operate on CURRENT enrollment and can be adjusted accordingly.
What is the class make-up policy?
Make-up classes are not offered for classes missed unless classes were missed due to the gym being closed on account of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances. The make-up class would then be held within one (1) month of the missed class.
*Extreme "acts of God" are not eligible for make-up.
How do I know if the gym is closed because of inclement weather and will a class missed on account of weather be made up?
The gym does not follow any particular school district regarding cancellation of classes due to inclement weather. On the day in question, there will be two ways to find out the status of the gym (for that particular day): 1) ON-LINE (www.magnitudegymnastics.com) A message regarding whether the gym is open or closed will be posted on the NEWS section on the home page of the website (in yellow) and/or 2) PHONE MESSAGE (615-883-5166) A recorded phone message will be posted on the gym phone regarding the status of the gym due to the current weather conditions. (Please do not leave a phone message asking if the gym will be open or closed as those messages will not be returned). Be advised, the FINAL DECISION will be made by NOON of the day in question. Classes which are missed, due to the gym being closed because of the weather, will be made up. The make-up class will be held within one (1) month of the missed class. We do not offer a tuition discount or pro-rate tuition for any time the gym is closed due to the weather.
Effective 2015, any gym closings and classes and/or practices missed caused by "Extreme Acts of God" (i.e. 2010 flood or 2015 ice storm), will not be eligible for make-up or tuition discounts.
What are the planned closings for 2017?

The gym DOES NOT close for a SPRING BREAK (in March or April) or a FALL BREAK (in October).
Can I drop my child off or do I need to remain at the gym during their class time?
A parent or guardian must accompany any student in and out of the building. Instructors cannot be responsible for students left unattended after class time and students are not permitted to loiter outside the building. You may leave your child during his/her class time but must sign-out on the sign-out sheet located at the front desk. All children in the lobby must be supervised by their parent(s) at all times. (It is the responsibility of the parent(s), not of any staff member, to watch their children in the lobby AT ALL TIMES. Continual disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and siblings/students/parent(s) will be asked to leave the lobby area for the entire class time).
No unaccompanied student should be dropped off at the gym earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of their respective class time or picked up later than the end of their respective class time.
Does the gym hold class recitals?
We hold an exhibition in the spring for all recreational students. The SPRING FLING is not mandatory but is the perfect way for all students to show off to friends & family the skills they have learned. All participants receive special recognition.
The event for 2017 will be held at the gym on Saturday, May 6th. The time will be determined; however, it will be sometime between 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. depending on sign-ups!
What should I do if I think my child belongs in a different class?
If you think your child should be in a different type of class, please ask your child's current instructor as they are most aware of your child's abilities, skill level, etc. If you need to change to a different day or time, check with the person at the front desk to make arrangements. Please remember that students "move up" through structured progressions based on the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program guidelines and students are advanced only when the necessary outlined requirements have been met.
How do I get my child involved in competitive gymnastics?
Communicate your interest to your child's coach so that they know your goals. The key elements for progressing through the sport of gymnastics are: strength, flexibility, skill and the ability to make corrections quickly. Students generally move to the next level upon a coach's recommendation (if they have the required skills).
What can be done outside of the gym to help a gymnast excel?
Encourage strength exercises such as basic calisthenics: push-ups, sit-ups & chin-ups. Gymnasts also need to eat well and get plenty of water & sleep.
Where do students put their personal items during class time?
Cubbies are located in the lobby (near the front door) for students to put their shoes, coats, clothes, book bags, etc., during their respective class time. Please do not leave these items loose in the lobby.
Do you offer classes during the summer months (June & July)?
Yes, our classes meet year round and you may sign up at any time; however, due to a different schedule during the summer months (June & July), we may have to drop a class from our summer schedule. We will try to give adequate notice whenever possible. We also offer a "class at a time" during the summer months. Current students can choose to participate in a class (at their respective level) without being obligated for the entire month's tuition. The fee for the class is $18/per class/per participant (sibling discount does not apply). You must call ahead to ensure there is space available in the class of your choice.
What other activities at the gym are available?
We offer Birthday Parties, Parents Night Out, Clinics and Private Lessons (to currently enrolled students only). Information can be found on the BIRTHDAY PARTIES and PROGRAMS pages.
How can I make a suggestion or comment?
We encourage you to be involved with your child's progress and with the betterment of our program. How do I withdraw from the gym?
In the event that you wish to cancel your enrollment at Magnitude 10.0 Gymnastics, we require a thirty (30) day written notice. IF THE REQUIRED NOTICED IS NOT SUBMITTED, YOU WILL BE BILLED AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESPECTIVE MONTH'S TUITION. Delinquent accounts are handled by a collection agency.
